Our Approach
We are forging a dynamic community of Christians, set apart by our unique approach to discipleship—one that liberates us from the burdensome shackles of human traditions and doctrines (Mark 7:13). Jesus himself laid out a straightforward commission when he declared, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Mat. 28:19-20).
It’s true that man has added complexity and burdensome structure to this great commission. Our approach lies in embracing the simplicity of Jesus’ calling, His example, and the power of the Gospel without adding unnecessary complexity. It’s the simple act of fulfilling Jesus’ calling without inserting ourselves into the equation that sets us apart… yet it’s the truth!
We believe that each of us is fearfully and wonderfully created (Psa. 139:14), made in the image of our Creator (Gen. 1:27), and endowed with unique gifts and callings (Rom. 11:29). In essence, we are all here for a purpose… What’s yours? If you’re unsure, we can help you discover it. If you are sure, we’re here to support you on your faith-filled journey.
If ever there was a time that we needed to go back to our roots as revealed in Scripture and go forth to make disciples, it is now; and our ministry was formed to do just that!
LEON J. PASSARIELLO
President & Lead Minister
I was baptized into Roman Catholicism as an infant, but my family never really practiced the faith or went to church. In fact, the environment I grew up in was violent and sinful, and I viewed Christians as weak and in need of a crutch. That all changed in my early twenties when I met a person who carried his faith in a way that I had not previously encountered; His name was Carl. Carl cut through my defenses and hostility toward the faith and — without preaching — led me to the Lord. The “quote” (contested throughout history) often attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi applies, “Preach the gospel at all times. And if necessary, use words.” I committed my life to God, prepared for the ministry, and was ordained in 1986 — only to step away from ministry sometime later as I encountered repeated acts of other “clergymen” that included theft, lying, fornication, nepotism, and the like. I never left the faith, just those that “play church.” I embraced the Word, the “Great Commission,” and the discipleship model evidenced in Scripture; and I dedicated myself to doing for others what Carl did for me. In addition to being a member of the clergy, I am also a Board Certified Coach and a Certified Executive Coach.

SETH JOHNSON
Vice President
My name is Seth Johnson, I am married to my beautiful wife, Mary, with whom I share 4 wonderful kids with. I was raised in the church and came to an authentic relationship with my Lord and Savior shortly after college. Even though I was part of church most of my life, I didn’t feel like there was any real spiritual growth nor maturing in my faith. This is where 4HTC comes in. I saw this as an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and “do” ministry with an individual that had previously discipled and mentored me spiritually. As someone who has always had a bit of a passion for teaching others (not my vocation), birthing a ministry that focused on discipleship seemed like a great opportunity for me to step out in faith and see what God would accomplish.

STEVE SACCO
Director
James 1:22 was a smack in the face to me as it described most Christians I had met. ‘Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.’ I know what Christ has sacrificed for me and I know I truly do not deserve this blessing and so I am forever grateful. Although I am new to Christ when I look back at my life, I see Christ has been near me in every crisis I have ever had reaching out to offer help whether I realized it or not. As my faith grows, I feel the need to share the gospel with everyone I meet. I know the peace and Love I feel will benefit all who want and need to hear it and the only way to know is to ask ‘do you walk with the Lord’? My involvement with 4HTC gives me the opportunity to give back and use my skills to benefit everyone we meet. It gives me the opportunity to ‘Do what it says.’
How else can I light candles? I get to work with amazing individuals who love the Lord and create disciples who in turn will light candles and create disciples who will light candles and…
