Raised in a violent environment, I once viewed Christians as weak — until a man named Carl led me to the Lord through the power of a lived faith, not preaching. Ordained in 1986, I eventually walked away from institutional religion but never from Christ, dedicating myself to doing for others what Carl did for me.
